Somes words about Chalon sur Saône
First built alongside the Saône about 3000 years ago, the town was a naval base during Antiquity, the place of big fairs during the Middle Ages, a trading centre in modern and contemporary times.
Chalon-sur-Saône is nowadays a sub-prefecture of Saône-et-Loire, the first town of the department and the second economic pole of Burgundy. The town is famous for its celebrities such as: Nicéphore Niepce, who invented photography; Vivant Denon, an artist and a diplomat; Emiland Gauthey, a civil engineer in the 18th century. The “Cote chalonnaise” region is classified in « appellation contrôlée », is provided with rich vineyards: Mercurey, Givry, Rully or Montagny.
Chalon is also a very sports-minded town, with nearly 100 clubs. It’s mostly famous for cultural events like “Chalon dans la Rue”and the Carnival.
Nuevo socio de Turquía - New partner from Turkey
Como ya comentamos por correo electrónico, y tras las negocioaciones con las agencias nacionales, nuestro proyecto Grundtvig "Sin Barreras" tiene un nuevo socio: El centro de educación de adultos Termal en Yalova, Turquía. Se ha incorporado ya de un modo activo y estamos desde España coordinando con él su actividad en el proyecto, y esperamos que pronto realizará la visita a la institución coordinadora del proyecto: el Centro de Adultos de Monterroso.
Os damos una cordial bienvenida a nuestro proyecto.
As we discussed by email, and after the negotiations with the national agencies, our Grundtvig project "Sin Barreras" has a new partner: The adult education center Termal in Yalova, Turkey. He has joined actively, and we are coordinating from Spain his activity in the project, and we hope that they will realize soon a visit to the coordinator of the project: the Center for Adult Monterroso.
