Dear Ayse, thank you for your commentary. I think it it impossible to expect that someone leave or enters a culture "totally". The society a person enters (represented by neighbours, teachers, peers ...) has to accept this as well as the society he or she leaves. It might "loose" a citizen, a voter, a would-be soldier but it might gain an informal ambassador and a bridge-builder to another nation.
